The British comedy-drama series was aired on television with its first season on 21 July 2016. Its second season was concluded on 8 April 2019 which is also considered as its final season. However, the fans are still waiting for its third season, but there are no official announcements from its makers regarding it yet. The television series became very much popular among the viewers, which revolved around a London based free-spirited but angry and confused girl. The well known English actress, producer, and writer, Phoebe Waller-Bridge earned a good reputation for creating and writing the story of Fleabag.

Apart from these, the first season of the series received a British Academy Television Award. The award was given to Waller-Bridge for best comedy performance as a female in the show. The second series of the show received eleven nominations by Primetime Emmy Award and won six out of it. Waller-Bridge won the Primetime Emmy Award for her outstanding performance as the lead actress and outstanding comedy. She also won the Primetime Emmy Award for her writing outstanding script for a series based on comedy.


Besides, the additional nominations for acting were received by Colman, Clifford, and guest stars Kristin Scott Thomas and Fiona Shaw. The tragic comedy series also received the Golden Globe Award for best actress and best television series. Waller-Bridge received the Golden Globe award for best actress. Phoebe Waller-Bridge adapted the story of the show from a one-woman play performed in the year 2013. Two Brothers Pictures produced the tragic comedy with Amazon Studios in an agreement based on co-production.


Fleabag Season 3: Release Date


The second season of the show ended on 8 April  2019  with a conversation taking place between the hot Priest  Andrew Scott and Fleabag. It was seen they were talking about their relationship in which nothing was going right. The Hot Priest told Fleabag to never have any ceremony at the church, and while agreeing to this, she left the place. However, the last scene of the second season was the concluding one, and it seems that it can be the best ending of any such story still viewers are waiting for its third season. Waller-Bridge has already declined any chances to release the third season of the story. Also, not any teaser or trailer has yet been published by the makers. But, the chances for the third season are bright due to the huge success Waller-Bridge has achieved. It is going to attract various networks and studios to her to start a new project.


Fleabag Season 3: Cast of the Show


If the makers of the series decide to release the Fleabag Season 3, then many characters of the previous season can be seen in the comeback. For example, the viewers can see Sian Clifford playing as the sister of Fleabag, Claire. The comeback of Waller-Bridge as Fleabag is very much sure. Moreover, Bill Peterson can be seen as the role of Fleabag’s dad and Olivia Colman as the grandmother of Fleabag. Brett Gelman can return in his role as Martin, the horrible husband of Claire. The marriage of Martin and Claire was seen ended in the second season of the series. Andrew Scott as Hot Priest can also make an appearance in Fleabag Season 3. Besides, some other supporting characters like Jenny Rainsford in the role of Boo and Hugh Skinner in the role of Fleabag’s ex, Harry can also make an appearance in the third season.
